Day 3
In the morning we took a cab to TelefériQo . It is a sky rail, the highest in South America, that takes you up to Cruz Loma from there you can trek up to the main peak, Rucu Pichincha, which is part of the Pichincha volcano that is still active. We did trek a little but when the incline became greater than 20 degrees I found a bench and took a nap. As you can see from the back ground in the picture, Quito is a massive city. There has been a huge increase in new buildings since 1970 with the biggest industry being banking. The average Ecuadorian makes $350 a month. Quito had a 4.5 earthquake last week ........AL's snoring can not be blamed, all bets are off from here forward.
